Atlantic Coastal Plain Map

The coastal plain province comprises the southern and eastern thirds of the state, and its elevation varies from sea level to about 300 feet (90 metres). It extends 2,200 miles (3,500 km) from the new york bight southward to a georgia/florida section of the eastern continental divide, which demarcates the plain from the acf river basin in the gulf coastal plain to the west.

About two thirds of this very rich ecoregion is in north carolina. Called us topo that are separated into rectangular quadrants that are printed at 22.75x29 or larger. Light green shows the rolling hill country of the central upland region.
